Image Rights & Reproduction Policy

The Atlas publishes artwork images only when local reproduction permission is documented. It does not casually hotlink copyrighted images from artist, gallery, auction or institutional websites.

Current image layer: 10 locally hosted images are reproduced with rights-holder permission. The remaining 32 artwork records remain text-only until permission is documented.

What permission means here

Images identified as rights-holder authorized are stored on the Atlas and displayed with descriptive alt text, a factual caption, creator credit, copyright holder, source-image URL and a machine-readable rights status. Permission to display an image on this Site does not grant visitors permission to copy, publish, train on, sell or otherwise reuse it.

Copyright notice: Artwork images remain © their respective rights holders. “Locally hosted” describes delivery, not a transfer of copyright or an open-content licence.
